Lakes Region Guest House
On 10 Acres in the woods near Squam Lake, a small guest house will provide shelter for a growing family. The structure sits on the edge of the forest, attempting to provide the experience of being within the beeches, birches and pines, while still benefitting from the light of a clearing on the south side. The windows and roof shift to pronounce the transition from common space to bedroom. A bunk area takes advantage of cathedral ceilings. The eaves go from wide to wider to lead weather away from the walls.
