In a small house built over 100 years ago, the challenge is to connect spaces without losing the original separation, to maintain an idea of passageway from kitchen to dining, and to do justice to traditional materials and methods with a modern sensibility.
A system of folding planes organized to create a place for 413 small wooden sculptures for temporary display.
Building Volume Renovation
A think tank was setting up shop in a new space. They were trying to feel out how to use the space, and what type of architectural elements they would need to set up a productive work environment. The proposal was to design and construct a "mock up" studio in 5 days with 1 material (in 2 sizes).
